London has been a host gaming community since 1999. In that role the city has received more than $107 million from OLG. The casino floor sits on the Western Fair District fairgrounds, at 900 King Street in the Old East Village.
The operator changed in May 2017. The Western Fair slots were part of the Southwest Gaming Bundle, which Gateway took over from OLG that month. The transfer came under a 20-year Casino Operating and Services Agreement. Before the relaunch as Cascades Casino London on June 23, 2026, the venue was known as Gateway Casinos London.
2023 to 2026
The rebuild
Gateway started the renovation on September 7, 2023. The casino stayed open while the work went on. The project ran in phases over 27 months and cost over $50 million. The building grew from 70,000 to 84,000 square feet.
On June 23, 2026, the venue relaunched as Cascades Casino London. Completion of the renovation was marked on Thursday, July 2, 2026. Over 300 people work at the casino. That count includes 80 new jobs added since the renovation.
The renovated casino introduced two places to eat: MATCH Eatery & Public House, with an outdoor patio, and Chow Lucky Noodle Bar. The PROLINE+ sportsbook lounge arrived as well. At the relaunch, Gateway and OLG described it as Ontario's first PROLINE+ sportsbook lounge. No hours have been published for any of the three.
The old name
The old name, still in use
In October 2026, OLG's Find a Casino list still showed the venue as Gateway Casinos London. OpenStreetMap carried the same old name. Both point to one place: 900 King Street, London, Ontario N5W 5K3. The operator has not changed either. Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited runs the casino under its new name, and the phone number is 519-672-5394.
